Southern California DGA Show Rules
- ADGA RULES SHALL GOVERN. Please see the link on SCGDA Show webpage for current ADGA rules.
- The order of the show is subject to change as needed to keep the show running smoothly.
- The Junior & Senior Doe Show are separately sanctioned. Ribbons and awards are provided for Best of Breed winners, Junior Champions, and Best Does in Show.
- No mandatory pre-show milk-out.
- No checks accepted.
- Original registration papers/stamped duplicates must be shown to the show secretary upon check-in, and made available to the show clerk upon request. Stamped duplicates are only accepted for animals under 6 months of age, dated within 30 days of the show OR ADGA's current policy
- Animals showing signs of sickness or contagious disease (including but not limited to: runny noses/eyes, open abscess’, ringworm, soremouth, etc.) will be asked to leave & you will not receive a refund. Decisions of the show committee are final.
- Any injection of any foreign substance or drug which could affect the animal’s performance or alter its natural contour, confirmation, or appearance, except for the sole purpose of protecting the health of the animal, is prohibited.
- No dogs or pets are permitted on the show property. Please leave pets at home.
- Substitutions must be done by 8:00 am the day of the show. Limit 2 substitutions per breed.
- Exhibitors MUST clean up their space & dispose of trash in receptacles provided or haul trash home.
- SCDGA will not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons, animal, or property. You are solely responsible for your animals and children and vehicles.
- Submission of entry forms is considered notice you have read, understand, and agree to adhere to all rules set forth by ADGA and the SCDGA show committee.
- Exhibitors will be responsible for any consequential or other loss, injury, or damage arising from any animal owned by them or any child belonging to them. Neither the Southern California Dairy Goat Association nor event property owners will not be liable for illness, injury, loss or damage to animals, persons, or property. Exhibitors agree to these terms upon submitting entries to the SCDGA Dairy Goat Show.
